2024-2025 Tuition Information

Tuition for new students beginning MYS in the Winter term of the 2024-2025 season (Nov/Dec – May/June) is:

$750 – Overture Strings, Interlude Orchestra & Strings, Chamber Strings, Sinfonietta Orchestra, Camerata, Concert Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble & All-Stars
$785 – Symphony Orchestra (SO)

Sibling discounts are offered:

$750 ($785 SO) – First enrolled student is billed at the highest full rate
$675 ($705 SO) – 2nd student receives a 10% discount
$605 ($635 SO) – 3rd(+) student(s) receives an additional 10% off the 2nd student rate.

Payment Information

Tuition is due by Friday, December 6, 2024 or within one week of student’s first rehearsal date, whichever comes first.
There is no charge to play in a second MYS ensemble. Please pay tuition upon receiving your placement in an ensemble.
Payment may be made by credit card via the MYS website (there is a 2% service fee). Tuition can also be paid via check (payable to “MYS”) mailed to our office along with a Tuition Form. Please write your student(s)’s name(s) in the memo line of the check. Tuition payments will not be accepted at rehearsal locations.
Students starting after the first rehearsal of Winter term (dates vary by ensemble) will receive a tuition due date upon placement in an ensemble, due date will be within one week after student’s first rehearsal date.
A $25 late fee will be assessed for payments made after December 6, 2024 or later than one week after student’s first rehearsal.
We offer Tuition Assistance. Please apply online or fill out a Tuition Assistance Form (English, Spanish) and mail with required documents to the MYS office.
Installment Plans are available. For information about paying by installment, contact Sarah McLain at programs@playmys.org.
Tuition is non-refundable.
No student is turned away for lack of ability to pay, please contact us for more information.

(Optional) MYS tuition rates represent 50% of the true cost of our ensembles. I would like to pay the full tuition rate of $1,500 ($1,570 for Symphony Orchestra). You will receive a donation receipt for your contribution over our regular tuition rate.

Symphony Orchestra Rate: I would like to pay the full tuition rate of $1,570 (Add $785 Donation to the Selected Ensemble Rate)

All Other Ensemble Rate: I would like to pay the full tuition rate of $1,500 (Add $750 Donation to Selected Ensemble Rate)

Tuition Donation

I would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Tuition Assistance Fund to ensure that all students may participate in MYS programming. (You will receive a receipt for your contribution.)
