Register for the 2020-21 Season!
MYS welcomes students at all levels of musical experience and from all backgrounds to register for the 2020-21 Season. With 14 orchestra, band, jazz, percussion and string ensembles in Portland and Hillsboro and tuition assistance available, there is an opportunity for everyone. In a typical season, students enjoy performance opportunities at venues throughout the metro area, including the Newmark Theatre and Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. To accommodate social distancing guidelines, auditions for the upcoming Season will be held via video. Simply complete registration and we will send you instructions for video submission. Audition videos will be accepted through August 14, 2020.
A Note About the 2020-2021 Season
As we look at next year’s program, our primary concern remains the health and safety of our students, families, artistic team and audiences. As such we will organize rehearsals, classes and concerts according to guidelines from the Oregon Health Authority, Multnomah and Washington counties, Portland Public Schools, and Hillsboro School District. The artistic and educational quality of what we offer is a priority, and will be a major factor as we make decisions about how the music program will operate next year. We will communicate with you as soon as we receive further guidance and are able to put final program details in place. We are very excited to make music with you next season!
