Beethoven 7: Sunday November 10, 2019

Beethoven’s 7th Symphony, nicknamed “The Apotheosis of the Dance,” kickstarts the season’s momentum with the ultimate symphonic dance experience. The Symphony Orchestra also performs a World Premiere by student composer Matthew Kaminski (part of The Authentic Voice series). Kevin Tsai solos in the highly romantic Violin Concerto No. 2 (mvmt. 1) by Polish violin virtuoso Henryk Wieniawski. Joan Tower’s For the Uncommon Woman makes a clear statement in reference to MYS’s commitment to inclusive programming.
