If you are an MYS alum and you still play regularly, we’d love to have you join Symphony Orchestra for part of the first half of our 50th Anniversary Season Finale Concert on June 17, 2024 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. The second half of the performance will feature guest star performer esperanza spalding, an MYS alumna herself.
MYS Toured Spain and Portugal July 2024!
Every three years, top MYS players and alumni travel abroad to share their music with an international audience. Started decades ago by founder Lajos Balogh, these tours have been one of the highlights of our program, and this year’s tour was no different! Our students were amazing artistic ambassadors and we will be looking back fondly on this experience for years to come. Follow along on our adventures below!
