We are absolutely thrilled to announce that MYS has been awarded a $120,000 Capacity Building grant over the next two years to support a multi-year marketing and communications project that will research, design and implement new communications to drive contributed and earned income and support equitable community engagement. Our sincere thanks to Meyer Memorial Trust! Want to join in our incredible accelerando? Give today and help us reach our $25,000 individual giving goal by December 31!
Tuesday, December 2, Music Director Andres Lopera, assisted the Fox12 News Crew in giving the weather report. This fun and interactive experience was part of a live auction item from our first annual gala, CRESCENDO, in May 2014. The item winner donated back the experience to help bring MYS to more people via the news. Check out this very fun weather report!
MYS is thrilled to announce that the Oregon Community Foundation has awarded us with a 2-year grant of $35,000 to support a multi-year effort to raise our profile and tell the story of our organization. This project will align our communications with our strategic and artistic plans in order to meet and grow our multi-year earned and contributed income goals and to ensure the availability of tuition assistance funding so that no child is turned away due to financial constraints. Thank you to OCF!
We're delighted to share the news that in light of the number of string and wind players that enrolled this season, MYS has added a new ensemble to our classical offerings - a Baroque Orchestra. The Baroque Orchestra is an intermediate level ensemble, conducted by Portland Baroque Orchestra violinist, Adam LaMotte. Mr. LaMotte brings a wealth of talent and experience and MYS looks forward to how his work with MYS will strengthen the artistic experiences for their students.
