MYS Attendance Policy

MYS musicians are allowed 3 absences per term (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Students with more than 3 absences should speak with their conductor. They may be permitted to play in upcoming performances at the discretion of the conductor.

Student, faculty, or staff who report COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms must stay home. Do not attend
rehearsals or performances if sick. Symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, body aches, or nausea.

Complete the MYS Absence Form below. Absence forms should be submitted 2 weeks prior to absences, except for illness or last-minute emergencies. For sickness, please submit the Absence Form as soon as you can. Do not call the office to report absences.
